Just one reason we've switched some things in our home of late (or progressively so, anyway). From our shampoos, to our lunchboxes, to our dolls. In fact, even the girls Easter baskets were consciously on the 'safe' side this year, with Automoblox and Anamalz.

Don't get me wrong, we're not doing away with all the plastics around the house (some serve a purpose, like the bike helmets, others are just plain fun, like our Bilibos). But, I am finding myself being FAR more selective and aware of what comes into the house these days . . ..

Best Plastic Choices (easy to identify by the recycling code):
#2 High Density Polyethylene
#4 Low Density Polyethylene
#5 Polypropylene

Worst Choices:
#1 Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET)
#3 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
#6 Polystyrene (Styrofoam)
#7 - Polycarbonate (PC)
