Night and Day

What a difference 2 days makes . . ..

Saturday was Anna Claire's first soccer match. She played pretty well, and she cried 3/4 of the game (she stayed on the field though, so that was an accomplishment!). She got SO frustrated that others "weren't letting her take her turn." Ah, the discoveries of competitive sports (okay, so the church league 4-year-olds aren't exactly a "competitive" league, but they do try to teach the basics of how the game is really played). We talked about it a bit afterwards, and the post-game snacks went a long way to making things better.

Then we had a 'make-up' game this evening (usually her practice night). She had a BLAST! Not one tear, she played hard, was a great sport, cheered like crazy, had an assist, and scored a goal!
