So, we were back at the Ped's office again today. Another suspected ear infection (they say "no . . . but, there might be some fluid there" - whatever that's supposed to mean). We waited over an hour in the exam room (we've never had to wait anywhere near that long before), and I'd run through nearly every trick I could think of to keep Caroline entertained. Alas she grew grumpier, and it was getting later, so I figured I'd just go ahead and nurse her while we waited.
And, as if to express her gratitude, she looked me straight in the eye, smiled, and signed "milk."
Her first (other than waving, etc) deliberate sign! Oh happy day!
