Not quite a rectangle

So, this morning Anna Claire tells me she's "going to draw a rectangle" on her magnetic doodle board.

She did and I think she did a pretty good job, and I tell her so.

She's apparently not quite happy with it, and informs me that "atchally (that would be 'actually' in Anna Claire speak), it's more of a trapezoid."

Well . . . now that you mention it, I suppose it is more of a trapezoid (a quite good trapezoid, in fact).

This child never ceases to amaze me.
