Still not a lot of sleeping going on around these parts.
Partially because Caroline has croup. Partially (I'm guessing) because she's hit some developmental milestones this week. She's crawling more definitively. After army crawling so early, she kind of gave up on it (I threatened to post here that she'd gone AWOL); instead she rolled everywhere and pivoted on her belly (kind of funny to watch). Now she's giving pushing off on alternate knees a chance, and it seems to be working for her pretty well. She's also begun pulling up to standing on her own. We found her standing in her crib, clinging to the rail, grinning like a mad-woman. She's *so* proud of herself! She's verbalizing more and more (go figure, my kid?) and now in addition to Mamamamama and Dadadadada she's added Nanananana (Nana or Anna, works for both for now!) and Khikhikhikhi anytime the cat walks by. I can't believe how fast she's growing and learning (perhaps because I'm not getting enough sleep to comprehend much!).
Anna Claire has been growing and learning too. She's counting to 29 completely on her own these days, and with a bit of help (she forgets 30, 40, 50, etc - but she properly stops after 29, 39, 49, etc for you to fill in the blank for her!) she makes it to 100. She's still into vocabulary (she likes her some big words!) and most recently she's all about telling everyone what's "inappropriate" for her (like the oh-so-unappealing armpit farting toy McD's chose to give her the last time we went there - um, hi, she's 4!). She's still loving her ballet/tap class and can't wait for the upcoming Daddy/Daughter dance.
As for us . . . well, we're just hoping for a bit more sleep in the immediate future.
